Disabled & Proud

"I lost my leg because of an explosion back in Iraq when I was seven. Over the years I learned it the hard way that disabled people are neglected and not well integrated into the society in many Middle East countries. Everyone stares at you and normally you'd just hide yourself at home. But instead, I show my leg openly. I want to prove that we are indeed capable of doing things. I want to motivate all disabled people that they don't need to be ashamed. And I want to motivate everyone else to accept yourself as you are."
