I love you

"After the war when I was a child my father couldn't feed all of us so I lived on someone elses farm here in Italy and had to work for my food. They were strangers to me and I was just 'the boy'. No one ever said to me 'I love you'... I am married with the same woman for fourty-nine years now and I love her more than anything else but I never told her these three words. I don't know, I... I just can't... but I know she knows."
